Thy Kingdom Come

Our days are now plagued with a continuous flow of new incidents that represent the state and decay of our world. Clearly, human government cannot solve the issues of mankind. We do know, however that God has established dominion and order in the Heavens! 2 Chronicles 7:14 reminds us that “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:6:

This, then is how you should pray: “Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom Come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” Matthew 6:9-13.

Killing, suicides, strife, division, haughtiness, scoffers, mockers, angst –  symptoms and signs that our nation desperately needs healing. The daily cries of the this earth confess that we must turn, humble ourselves, and pray for a healing in the land.

We cannot rely on any other name to save us. We can only rely and call on the King of Heaven who is seated at the right hand of the Father. We need God’s order and God’s government, He who made the heavens and the earth, and everything within it.

“How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young – a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Blessed are those who strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength till each appears before God in Zion. Hear my prayers, Lord God Almighty; listen to me, God of Jacob. Look on our shield, O God; look with favor on your anointed one. Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you. Psalms 84

Let us seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. Matthew 6:33. Jesus was sent to save the world from destruction. “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. Isaiah 9:6-7.
